Day of Eucharistic Adoration – Saturday, February 22
As was mentioned at Mass last weekend, we are participating in a multi-parish Eucharistic Adoration event this weekend, gathering to pray for St. Mary’s County and our community, as well as for the wider Church and world.
At IHM, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed on the main altar from after the 9 am Mass on Saturday (so about 9:45 am) until 3 pm. We need to make sure we have at least 2 people in attendance throughout that time. We still have a few spots that need to be filled between noon and 3 pm. You are of course welcome to come at any time from 10 to 3 pm, even if you don’t sign up.
Fellowship Sunday – Sunday, February 23
Plan on joining us for coffee, doughnuts and conversation after Mass on Sunday.
Mass with Healing Prayers – Monday, March 24
Come experience Christ’s healing touch after a special Mass at 7:00 pm. Confessions begin at 6:30. Mass is followed by Eucharistic Adoration and prayers for healing.
Collecting Palms – until Sunday, March 2
Please remember to bring in your old palms from Palm Sunday so that we can make the ashes for Ash Wednesday. There are collection baskets by the main doors of the church.
Fat Tuesday Pancake Supper – March 4
The Knights of Columbus invite you for a pancake supper from 6 to 8 pm on Fat Tuesday, March 4 (the day before Ash Wednesday). Donations benefit several charities supported by the Knights.
Ash Wednesday – March 5
Mass with distribution of Ashes will be at 6:30 am and 7 pm at IHM. There will also be Mass at St. Nicholas Chapel on base at 11:35 am.
Lenten Seafood Dinners – Save the dates!
Join us for our seafood dinners on Fridays of Lent (March 7 to April 11) from 4 to 7 pm. If you would like to volunteer help with the dinners, sign-up sheets will be available in the church foyer soon.
