Dear IHM Parishioners,
As you probably heard, we have a new Pope, Leo XIV, whose birth name is Robert Prevost, originally from Chicago. No one thought that an American would be elected. Just goes to show that God's ways are not our ways.
Our 5:30 pm Mass tonight and our 9 am tomorrow will be thanksgiving masses for his election. After tonight's Mass, the Knights of Columbus will host a special Eucharistic Holy Hour with a traveling image of the Sacred Heart. That was already planned, but what a wonderful way for us to come together as a parish to give thanks to God for our new shepherd, and entrust his pontificate to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Please join us for Mass and the Holy Hour.

The 5:30 Mass tonight (Thursday) and the 9 am Mass tomorrow will be Masses of Thanksgiving for his election. Additionally, after tonight's Mass, the Knights of Columbus are hosting a Eucharistic Holy Hour with a travelling image of the Sacred Heart. Whole that event was already planned, it is providentiallt a wonderful way to give thanks to God and to entrust Leo XIV's ministry to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
